- For years, I wanted to become a vegetarian to save the lives of animals, the environment & in general - to do my piece to help save our little world. And for years, I postponed this change - thinking I would starve. Folks, I am a very picky eater. In November 2009, I took the plunge, made the change & realized that it wasn't hard at all. After reading more about vegetarianism, I learned that most dairy cows and laying hens suffer tremendously & they too have a huge negative environmental impact. March 1st 2009 I began my new vegan lifestyle. While trying to balance all that life entails I am trying to continually learn more about veganism, proper nutrition, and living a healthy lifestyle. Also new to blogging, I will be trying to learn more about how to make my blog better as I document my transition into veganism.
